Kenny Hawkes has two decades of experience rocking clubs as a DJ. Kenny Hawkes has released standout tracks for huge labels like NRK and 20:20 Vision. Kenny Hawkes was a DJ on legendary London pirate radio station Girls FM, and ran Space at Bar Rumba (alongside head-Freak Luke Solomon) for seven years. So what does that mean for you? A wicked ride through (almost) all things house. Hawkes uses his experience and intuitive ear for melody to craft diverse sets that flow seamlessly through styles, yet somehow retain a distinct identity—deep-yet-percussive, soulful-yet-robotic. His recent releases contain electro ribs that tug playfully at that deep-house spine that seems to back up everything he does, even if it’s subliminal. Additional beat support will be provided by hardworking local favorite Lee Foss, who also shares Hawkes’ uncommon ability to infuse a touch of soul into electro and minimal influenced house. Technical prowess aside, Foss has a penchant for sweetening up dance floors with melody—deftly, discretely adding just the right touch of fun without causing a diabetic breakdown. (Duke Shin)
