German house and techno DJ/producer/label-owner Steve Bug shows no signs of slowing down in the eighteenth year of his legendary music career with his influential labels Dessous, Audiomatique and Poker Flat Recordings still going strong. Bug is on the road for his “10 Years of Poker Flat” tour, which is now making limited stops in North and South America. He is also promoting his latest album, titled “Collaboratory,” which features several impressive co-productions with Cassy, Donnacha Cosstello, Paris the Black Fu and many others. An expert in blending the sounds of futuristic house and minimal techno with electro-inspired funk-injected classics, Bug should do a fine job of keeping the dance floor rocking at Spy Bar. Poker Flat label-mate Martin Buttrich, who has released music on Planet E and Cocoon Recordings, is also scheduled to perform alongside Bug. Besides making a name for himself with his own productions, the audio-engineering wizard has acted as a silent producer for many of the world’s biggest techno and minimal artists. Buttrich delivered an impressive live set at Spy Bar nearly two years ago, and will be the icing on the cake. (Elly Rifkin)
