Great review. His is a mind that is still moving and evolving, not set in stone. You bring this out well in your article. Such cultural enfant terribles as Boulez are easy to attack for they make incendiary remarks and do set the world on fire. But for the Basel police to rope him in for his burning the concert halls remarks shows a stolidity of misapplied purpose that would be hard to beat.
