Dutch violinist Isabelle van Keulen performs the Mozart Third Violin Concerto in salute to the 250th birthday anniversary of Salzburg’s most famous son and will be interviewed at 8pm in the Choral Room, and Richard Strauss’ “An Alpine Symphony,” with its aural portrayal of the spectacular vistas encountered through a daylong hike through the composer’s beloved Bavarian Alps, will be heard as part of Grant Park’s “10 Symphonies in 10 Weeks” initiative, as well a contemporary piece with a mountain theme, Howard Hanson’s “Merry Mount Suite” all with Carlos Kalmar conducting.
