What makes Donald Glaude one of the best DJs to see live? Pure, fucking energy. It’s absolutely infectious when you see any DJ getting into his own set, but Glaude takes it to the next level, dancing in the DJ booth, shouting at the crowd to throw their hands up, and generally having a wicked time. Perhaps it’s because he came up playing at raves, establishing the scene in the Northwest. Whatever the reason, Glaude excels at entertaining and backs it up with bangin’ house that’s always fun and funky. He’s also one of the few house jocks who incorporates scratching and other turntable tricks when he spins. And if you bump into him getting down on the dancefloor before or after his set—which he’s been known to do—just tell him, “Thank Glaude it’s Friday.” (Al de Leon)
