The seminal Chicago electro-industrial band has had somewhat of a resurgence as of late—the band made its mark through the late-eighties to the early-nineties releasing four full-length records on Wax Trax!, then moving on to Interscope in 1994, then on to Rykodisc. 2005’s “Gay, Black & Married,” the band’s latest, isn’t nearly as effective or engrossing as the early releases—“Confessions of a Knife” still holds ground—but it’s cool that the band’s lasted this long. Throwback seventies rock heavies The Last Vegas open—the dirtiness and gruff is in the air every time the band plays. “Seal the Deal,” the band’s 2006 release on “Get Hip,” will make you want to wash your hands.
