British dance duo Andy Turner and Ed Handley have had their fingers on the pulse of electronic music for two decades. The pair has collaborated with such artists as Bjork and Goldfrapp, but earned their notoriety as two-thirds of post-techno pioneers The Black Dog. Early works from the group have been re-issued in recent years, but Turner and Handley have had their eyes on the future; namely, the AV-era of stage performance. Collaborating with visual artist Bob Jaroc, Plaid released 2006’s “Greedy Baby” as an album you can see (courtesy of an enclosed DVD). The group hits the Abbey Pub for a more intimate showing after it plays as part of Millennium Park’s “Museum of Modern Ice.” (K. Tighe)
