Even though the throwback eighties thing is an easy moneyshot these days, Sinden—a resident at top UK club Fabric and DJ on London’s KISS FM—could very well produce a track about rotary phones and it’d be just as hot as his new cut, “Beeper.” It’s a dance cut with a monster hook—”Hit me on my beepah—beepah—beepah!”—and it was sliced, cut, chopped, mixed and thrown in at peak hour countless times all over Miami’s Winter Music Conference this past March, the churning bass line reminiscent of UK garage and the lyrics provided by our very own round-the-way-gurl, Kid Sister. Her playful “ghetto” vibe shines like those vicious nails of hers with lyrics like, “And you ain’t gonna get none / Cuz you page me 69!” It’s probably safe to say that the best stuff we heard at Winter Music Conference over that long week will be packaged nice and convenient-like for you tonight at the Fool’s Gold/Dim Mak tour, as all three headlining DJs were there: Sinden, A-Trak (Kid Sister’s man & Fool’s Gold founder) and Steve Aoki (Dim Mak founder). Hope to see you there—and if you want guest list, just, uh…page us. (Jen Boyles)
