Chicago’s dirty, psychedelic Beatlesesque popsters The M’s return this week with “Real Close Ones” (Polyvinyl), the band’s third full-length and follow-up to the deliriously enjoyable, garage-rock-infused “Future Women.” The new one follows the same path, vocal harmonies and switch-offs galore, fuzzily distorted guitars and luscious sixties-pop melody. It’s all as laid back as a hot Sunday afternoon. The band celebrates the release tonight and Saturday while sharing the bill with the smoky indie-rock of Centro-Matic—a really, really solid bill altogether that’ll fill the room with atmosphere.
