DJ Heather brings the Blackcherry vibe back to Smart Bar for a weekend session with another Chicago favorite, Miles Maeda, this time visiting under the Bopsa umbrella. House music heavyweights, indeed. Miles hasn’t dropped a new Bopsa record since last year’s “Ravon Lady” but hopes are high for his label’s next release. Perhaps we’ll be treated to some exclusive bits between his groove-laden funky house set and DJ Heather’s always-solid deck skills. Brian Lyons is in town as well, visiting from Seattle’s venerable house-music event, Flammable, and providing some West Coast dance-floor inspiration. (John Alex Colon)
