This fall has been busy for Philadelphia shoegazers A Sunny Day in Glasgow. The band released its sophomore album, “Ashes Grammar,” in September and finally settled on its new lineup within the past month. After a rough 2008 saw the amicable departures of bassist Brice Hickey and twin singers Robin and Lauren Daniels, bandleader Ben Daniels and drummer Josh Meakim were left wondering what was next. Luckily, the two met cellist/pianist/singer Annie Fredrickson who gave new life to ASDIG, and less than a year later, the trio has expanded to a sextet with a beautiful new dream-pop album. This is one band that truly deserves all the blog-buzz they’ve been getting. (Kelley Hecker)
